Program Launching Spring 2022
The goal of the American Rescue Plan and the Mortgage Relief Program is to help the nation recover from a once-in-a-generation disaster that has imposed substantial economic hardship on millions of working families through no fault of their own.
With $50 million appropriated to the state of Delaware, the program will be available to assist income-eligible households who experienced a COVID-related financial hardship on or after January 21, 2020, that resulted in mortgage delinquency or forbearance.
The Delaware State Housing Authority and its partners are launching a new program designed to assist and support Delaware homeowners who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments and/or could be facing foreclosure as a result of the aforementioned COVID-related hardship.
This program is expected to launch in the Spring of 2022. Development of the program has started.
