COVID-19 Mortgage Relief Program

Please Note: This program is not yet open for applications.

Final Plan As Submitted to Treasury

The Delaware State Housing Authority has submitted its Mortgage Relief Program Plan to the U.S. Department of the Treasury for approval. The plan, which is available below, details program design elements, outreach strategies, and performance goals.

The goal of the American Rescue Plan and the Mortgage Relief Program is to help the nation recover from a once-in-a-generation disaster that has imposed substantial economic hardship on millions of working families through no fault of their own.

With $50 million appropriated to the state of Delaware, the program will be available to assist income-eligible households who experienced a COVID-related financial hardship on or after January 21, 2020, that resulted in mortgage delinquency or forbearance.

The program, administered by the U.S Treasury, will be administered by the Delaware State Housing Authority.
